LugRadio Live 2008 is being held at The Lighthouse Media Centre, Chubb Buildings, Fryer Street, Wolverhampton, on the 19th and 20th July 2008. This is the same venue as last year.

There are a number of car parks in central Wolverhampton. These include:

Wolverhampton and Birmingham are well connected by coaches. If you do travel to Birmingham, you can get a bus from Birmingham to Wolverhampton. See the Travel West Midlands website for bus timetables. You can also get the Metro between Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

LUGRadio Live 2008 is a five minute walk from Wolverhampton train station.

Alternatively, a tram service leaves from Birmingham Snow Hill train station and takes you to within walking distance of both the Wolverhampton Bus station and the event.

Air travel is increasingly expensive to use (thanks to increasing Air Passenger Duty and cheap airlines buying each other), but if you are based in Europe, getting to the UK can be very cheap indeed.

The nearest airport to Wolverhampton is Birmingham International (BHX), which also has a railway station with a direct train from the airport to Wolverhampton. This train journey costs around £4 and takes about 20 minutes.

When flying to LUGRadio Live it may be much cheaper to fly to a London airport and take bus/train to get to Wolverhampton. The price difference can be as much as 2-4 lower priced airplane ticket. For instance Barcelona to Birmingham is around &250 roundtrip while a Barcelona to London trip might be found at around £100 roundtrip.

The London airport which gives you the shortest route is London Luton, which gives you a combined bus/train time of about 2,5 hours to get to Wolverhampton. If you choose this option, get the bus to Milton Keynes Central from Luton Airport and from Milton Keynes Virgin have trains going to Wolverhampton. The total bus/train price should be around £13 each way.
